OUR STORY

How we started

 

My sister and I, in the summer of 2014, started the research of our own ice cream truck, which would soon enough cruise around our neighborhood during the summer and on the weekends. When we were just little ones, we traveled to visit our cousins in Greenville, North Carolina. There, we experienced the thrill of chasing after our first ice cream truck! We have never forgotten the fun and excitement that we faced that warm afternoon. Ever since then, our mom and dad have always encouraged our ideas of our own ice cream truck during the summer Texas heat. The summer of 2014 was the first summer that my sister, who was 17, and I, who was 13, could follow through with our idea.

 

We first started out with searching on the internet how to start your own business in Texas. While we spent hours upon hours searching and searching, we found a plan. After 3 whole months of paperwork and business offices, we finally got all of our proper health permits, insurance licenses, and tax ids. Our parents were very helpful with guiding us through the process, even though they let us make the big choices of how our business would work. On all the paperwork, only my sister, Julia, and myself, Nina, names are on the paper.

 

We carry Blue Bunny ice cream novelties and GoodPops all natural popcicles!
